Homeopath: specialty features

The treatment of almost all diseases falls under the competence of a homeopath if the stage of development of the pathological process is not in severe chronic form. It should also be noted that the homeopathic doctor does not deal with any particular organ, since homeopathy refers to alternative medicine.

What diseases deals with?

As a rule, such a specialist is addressed already when traditional methods of treatment do not bring proper results. Most often, a homeopath is treated with such ailments:

  1. infertility and other diseases of the genitourinary system,
  2. unstable blood pressure, IRR,
  3. dizziness, headaches,
  4. neuralgia,
  5. some diseases of the nervous system
  6. diseases that are associated with metabolic disorders, hormonal,
  7. violation of the gastrointestinal tract,
  8. problems with the musculoskeletal system,
  9. pathological processes of the cardiovascular system,
  10. allergy of any form
  11. dermatological disorders
  12. sexual disorders.

In some cases, treatment with homeopathic therapy can be regarded as ancillary measures in case of complex therapy.

It should also be noted that the homeopathic doctor can deal with the treatment of childhood diseases. But such treatment can be called safe and effective only if it is carried out under the supervision of a competent specialist. Self-medication in any case can give serious complications.

When should I contact a homeopath?

It can not be said that such a method of treatment is a panacea for all serious illnesses. At the same time, calling it irrational or dangerous is not quite right. As in most cases, with timely referral to a specialist, you can prevent the illness or prevent the development of a serious complication.

A homeopathic physician should be consulted if the following factors are true:

  1. with chronic diseases that are seasonal (allergic),
  2. if conventional treatment fails,
  3. in the presence of benign tumors,
  4. in case of illness of the child,
  5. with frequent stress, nervous overstrain.

In any case, in order for the result of treatment to be positive, you should contact only competent specialists, adhere to the recommendations of the doctor and be attentive to your health.

Reception at the homeopath - how to behave correctly?

Due to the fact that homeopathy is a direction of alternative medicine, many people are very skeptical of it, so they do not take it seriously. Consequently, a positive result in this mood is unlikely to be.

Reception at the homeopath begins with a careful study of the patient's medical history, anamnesis (both personal and family), lifestyle. Also taken into account is the change in the clinical picture of late. Far from the last place is the state of psychological health of the patient. Therefore, the patient must be prepared for the fact that the reception will be raised questions of an intimate nature. The specificity of the work of a homeopath is to know your patient as well as he does himself.

Based on the information received, the specialist will conduct a selection of the drug, and prescribe a course of therapy. It should be noted here that the outcome of treatment will largely depend on the veracity of the information received.

Treatment methods

The method of treatment, in this case, is only one. The basis of homeopathic therapy is the patient receiving drugs that, conversely, provoke a particular pathological process. But, since the concentration of the drug is negligible, the opposite effect is obtained, that is, recovery.

It should be noted that a good homeopathic doctor will never prescribe several drugs at once. At a certain stage of treatment, only one medication is taken. In some cases, the doctor may recommend taking vitamins to strengthen the immune system.

Self-treatment, even according to this scheme, is unacceptable. There are cases when patients with the same diagnosis were prescribed different medications. This is due to the fact that when selecting a drug, such a specialist takes into account the patient's individuality, both physically and psychologically.

In general, it can be concluded that treatment at a homeopathic doctor gives positive results only if the patient himself is interested in this.

Who is a homeopathic doctor

The homeopath treats diseases in humans by applying special homeopathic preparations. Homeopathic medicines can be used by a homeopathic specialist, because treatment involves adherence to a number of rules when using dosages of medicines and the necessary treatment steps.

Competence of homeopathic physician

Homeopathic medicines do not accumulate in the body, as medication, do not provoke the occurrence of allergies and practically do not give side effects. They are able to relieve patients from chronic and acute diseases, because the therapy is carried out in small doses, and the drugs are of plant origin.

A homeopath treats a sick person, not a disease. He aims to save the patient from the disease, and not to suppress its manifestation. For the preparation of homeopathic medicines use:

  • Plants, fungi, living organisms (spiders, bees, etc.).
  • Minerals, animal products.

The science of homeopathy has thousands of tools that specialists regularly use. The homeopath knows exactly the necessary dosages, the number of doses and the duration of treatment of each disease in a particular case.

Homeopath conducts treatment taking into account all the complexities of clinical cases and practice.

The doctor of this specialty possesses knowledge of homeopathic concepts and theories, manages cases of repeated visits, treats constitutional acute conditions, ensures safety to both the patient and the homeopath.

A doctor who has a diploma of a higher medical institution and has an additional specialty in homeopathic therapy can do homeopathic treatment. A homeopath must have a practice, and the more it is, the greater the likelihood that he will be able to rid the patient of a particular disease.

Mono- and complex homeopathy

Today there are many different schools in homeopathy, each of which has its own view on diseases and the approach to treatment. Schematically, all currents can be divided into two large groups: classical (or unicist) and complex homeopathy.

Group: Belgian school, French, Indian, Kiev, Greek (Vithoulkas school). The patient is assigned a single, as precisely selected means as possible, which should take into account all the characteristics of the patient - from the symptoms of the disease to the mental state. Supporters of this approach argue that they are the heirs of the ideas of Hahnemann. Some of them are guided by his advice as religious dogma and contrasts homeopathy with the rest of medicine. It is clear that this does not create the best reputation for the entire method.

Group: representatives of complex homeopathy (The most famous trend is homotoxicology). Proponents of complex homeopathy believe that it is impossible to cure a person with a single means. They use preparations consisting of several components, and are ready to cooperate with conventional medicine. The founder of homotoxicology, a German doctor, Hans Heinrich Reckeweg, generally considered his main task "to link classical homeopathy and modern medicine for the benefit of patients and for the convenience of doctors."

Main principle

The main principle of homeopathy brought its founder - a German doctor, pharmacist and chemist Samuel Hahnemann. While experimenting with cinchona bark, he found that in a concentrated form, it causes the same symptoms that it cures, being diluted to extremely low concentrations. This phenomenon has led the scientist to the idea that this effect may be characteristic of other substances. Experiments confirmed the hunch. Thus was born the main postulate of homeopathy: "The like is treated by the like."

Evidence of effectiveness

The main complaint about homeopathy is insufficiently proven efficacy. Scientists today trust only the results of clinical studies conducted according to the rules of evidence-based medicine. Those have long remained a "weak point" of homeopathy. Why?

Reason number 1. In classical homeopathy, they focus not on indications, but on symptoms. It is extremely difficult to pick up even 10 people with exactly the same symptoms, and for modern serious research hundreds of volunteers are needed. From the point of view of complex homeopathy, also operating with indications, it is much easier to do this. Therefore, now the largest number of serious publications is devoted to complex drugs.

Reason number 2. The principle of homeopathy is to treat not a disease, but a patient with specific symptoms. Individualized therapy prescribed by a homeopath is difficult to squeeze into the strict framework of standard clinical research.

Reason number 3. Even large manufacturing companies are not able to invest enough money in clinical research. The cost of a serious study on a large contingent of patients starts from 100 thousand euros. Thousands of homeopathic remedies. The largest companies producing them have a turnover of 150 million euros. For comparison: the turnover of companies producing allopathic medicines is several tens of billions of euros, and the assortment of medicines is much smaller. Weight categories are clearly unequal.

True, the situation has changed in recent decades. "Work on the study of the effectiveness of homeopathic remedies in our day is performed at the highest, modern level of evidence-based medicine," says Andrei Maryanovsky, MD. These works are published in reputable medical journals Lancet, JAMA, British Medical Journal, Cancer. “This does not mean that the effectiveness of any homeopathy is automatically proved,” our expert clarifies. “This is about confirming the efficacy of certain drugs with certain indications.”

How do homeopathic medicines do?

They take one part of the substance, mix it thoroughly with 9 parts of alcohol and shake it intensively 10 times - this is called “dynamization”. After that, one part of the resulting solution is mixed with 9 parts of alcohol and repeat the process as many times as necessary to obtain the desired dilution, or potency. For example, to prepare the sixth decimal potency of chamomile, the process must be repeated 6 times. Then, the resulting substance is applied to sugar balls, make drops of it or add to the ointment. Homeopaths are confident that by shaking the solution is given a new quality. Modified in this way, the solutions have a completely different effect than simple dilutions to the same concentration. The causes of the phenomenon are still being studied.

How does homeopathy work?

Anyone who has ever been treated by a homeopath well remembers the classic recommendation - to dissolve the granules under the tongue. Components that fall on the mucous membrane of the mouth and intestines act on the receptors of immunocompetent cells and contribute to their transformation into different types of lymphocytes. Once in the lymph nodes, these lymphocytes “train” other, immature lymphocytes, thereby forming an immune response. Even a small dose of the original substance (just the one used in homeopathy) is able to stimulate the immune system, curing individual symptoms and the whole disease.

Some homeopathic medicines cope with viruses. This is engystol, girel, euphorbium compositum. Others act on articular cartilage, improving its elasticity, and treat the symptoms of arthrosis. Still others improve blood circulation and due to this they treat dizziness (with the help of special microscopy, we managed to capture this process on video). The fourth protects liver cells from heavy metals (for example, lead and cadmium) and viruses.

Together or instead?

In Russia, homeopathy is included in the number of traditional methods of treatment. But in the West, it is included in the list of complementary and alternative medicine methods (complementary and alternative medicine). This term more precisely defines the place of homeopathy: it can complement conventional medicine in the treatment of certain diseases, and in some cases even replace it.

Recently, complex treatment regimens in which homeopathic preparations are used along with the usual ones are popular. For example, using homeopathy can reduce or prevent the effects of diabetes, the side effects of chemotherapy for cancer, cure stomach and intestinal ulcers, or osteoporosis. Collaborating with allopaths, homeopaths can create new dosage forms, in addition, homeopathy is perfectly combined with acupuncture and other reflex therapy methods.

An important plus of homeopathy is the ability to combine it with almost any medication: after all, micro doses do not affect the action of the latter. True, most doctors still recommend taking homeo- and allopathic means alternately: for example, some before meals, others after half an hour or an hour.

What should be a homeopath

  1. In medical universities, homeopathy is not taught, it is studied in refresher courses. The doctor must have a diploma of higher medical education. A big plus is the availability of certificates of special courses in Russia and abroad.
  2. It is better if the doctor specializes in certain problems, rather than trying to cure any disease.
  3. Most modern homeopaths - ordinary doctors who own the method of homeopathy, but usually using complex drugs and only in rare cases resorting to mono-drugs, do injections and even put droppers with homeopathic drugs.
  4. Doctors of classical homeopathy pay the main attention to communicating with the patient, identifying the medical history and current symptoms. Primary reception at such a doctor lasts up to 2 hours, repeated - about an hour. The patient will be assigned homeopathic monopreparations (granules), less often - complex means.
  5. Some homeopaths work by the method of Voll (electroacupuncture testing of active points on the hands and feet). With the help of computer diagnostics, they test drugs (both mono and complex). Primary reception in this case lasts longer than 1 hour.

In some cases, homeopathic treatment can be a full replacement for the usual. Of course, this is not about the most serious diseases. Physicians include articular pain, respiratory viral infections, insomnia, some female diseases, and the effects of sports injuries on this list.

Homeopathy does not cure everything. It will not work in serious diseases - severe forms of arthrosis, cancer, liver cirrhosis, Alzheimer's disease. A reasonable combination of several types of treatment, the use of the entire arsenal of modern medicine, from the latest microsurgery and biotechnological drugs to homeopathy, acupuncture, other traditional and folk methods - the most successful solution.

Based on the research received, the homeopath prescribes treatment with homeopathic remedies.

Good advice from a homeopathic doctor

One cannot think that having gone through a bush of traditional treatment and not cured, the homeopath will cure all diseases. One should not think that homeopathy is herbal medicine. For the preparation of homeopathic medicines use such raw materials:

  • Metals, minerals.
  • Materials of animal origin.
  • Herbs.

All of the above, is not tinctures and decoctions prepared at home (herbal medicine). Homeopathic medicines are a complex technology that includes rubbing, shaking, breeding, etc. Homeopathy is directed at the body and its features in general, and the selection is strictly individual.

Homeopathy and traditional medicine go side by side, because the methods of both areas of medicine are aimed at healing the patient. The start of homeopathic treatment does not preclude the use of previously prescribed medications, and only with time, with a positive outcome, can a different dosage be prescribed or drug withdrawal.

Drug exacerbation in the treatment of homeopathic medicines, not necessary, but not dangerous stage of intermediate treatment. The life of the patient is not endangered, and the aggravation passes on its own.

A huge share of homeopathic remedies treatment depends on the patient's belief in the success of recovery and on the correctness of the selected drug, so it is very important that the doctor be a qualified practitioner.

Homeopathic medicines are prescribed individually and in different ways. In chronic diseases they are prescribed for a long time, but rarely. Individual balanced regimens are close to conventional medications (2-3 times per day). There are also such preparations prepared by new technologies, which should be taken 1 time in several days.

Who is a homeopath?

Drugs belonging to the category of homeopathic are not able to accumulate in the body, do not provoke allergic reactions, almost never give side effects. At the same time, they are able to get rid of many chronic and acute diseases. Therapy is carried out in small doses, the drugs themselves are of plant origin.

The homeopath treats not the disease, but the sick person himself. The main goal pursued by the doctor is not to suppress individual manifestations of the disease, but to completely rid the person of them.

The basis for the preparation of homeopathic medicines can be:

Animal products, such as snake venom,

Living organisms, such as bees or spiders.

Classical homeopathy, as a science, has almost a thousand remedies, many of which specialists use regularly.

A homeopath is a doctor who treats his patients with homeopathic medicines. He knows exactly the necessary dosages, the frequency of taking various drugs and their effectiveness in relation to certain diseases.

To begin with, the doctor carefully listens to the patient's complaints, and then carries out a detailed examination. Attention is paid to the patient's physique, the condition of his skin, the condition of the mucous membranes, etc. After the examination, the doctor palpates the problem area and ascertains the history of the disease. In addition, the homeopath will be interested in the issues of heredity, food preferences, lifestyle, exercise, working conditions, surgery and injuries.

In addition, the doctor may give a recommendation to go through standard examination methods - ultrasound, CT, MRI, laboratory tests, etc.

After the results are obtained, the doctor will select a homeopathic medicine.

When should I contact a homeopath?

You should go to a homeopath if the traditional medicine is not able to help the patient. However, this is a critical point that should not be expected. According to experts themselves, people often turn too late and hopelessly ill.

It is worth remembering that homeopathic remedies in properly selected dosages do not harm health. Therefore, they can be used by pregnant women, children, the elderly, patients with impaired health and reduced immunity.
